Is YOUR church trying to ‘please the world’??
If you can’t tell whether you are at church or at a rock concert, then something is woefully wrong. If your pastor is trying to “please the world” by making church sound like the world, instead of trying to please God by making church sound “other-worldly”, then something is woefully wrong. If you need to wear earplugs because of the sound volume at church, then something is woefully wrong.
Major milestone of the Tribulation has PASSED
(NOTE: For those that are “short version” readers, there is a Summary paragraph at the end.) Monday morning (23 Sep 2024), I was watching a 700 Club interview with David M Friedman, the former US ambassador to Israel. The main…
The Book of … WOW!!
The Song of Solomon might be the least-preached book of the entire Holy Bible. That’s sad. The 7th chapter of 1st Corinthians is often called “the marriage chapter”. It has a lot of good advice about “how to get along”…
‘Unequally yoked’ — it’s MORE than only marriage
This is a recurring theme for me, personally, and as a direction for this church: I’m so thankful for the One-Year Bible. (If you do not have one, then I highly recommend it.) By having a regular daily reading, one…
Jesus in the Book of Job
There is a saying among sincere Christians that “Jesus is on every page of the Holy Bible”. Certainly, there are implications of the Triune God (one God, manifested in three holy Persons — one of which is Jesus) going all…
Gifts of the Holy Spirit — Rank and ORDER
Yehowah (the “proper name” of God the Father) is a God of order. As such, He wants worship to be done in an orderly manner. In the Book of Leviticus, He told Moses specifically to make the Tabernacle so long,…
We are COMMANDED to pray these
In the mid-1980s, I did a Bible search of the things that we are commanded to pray. The list is short, but powerful. Feel free to share this as you see fit. 1. Ask the lord of the harvest to…
Romans 1 — ‘against nature’
The first chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans was written for both the Christian believer and the unbeliever. Although, in the earthly sense, it was written specifically to the early community of believers in the capital of the Roman…
Queen Esther and verbal Kung Fu
To set the foundation for today’s post, I must extol The One-Year Bible (NKJV). I have been reading some version of the One-Year Bible since 1989. It is an amazing study and self-discipline tool. This unique presentation of the Holy…

Jesus SMACKS DOWN the scribes and Pharisees
Originally published 02 May 2024 via Deep Dive Bible Adventures. It’s one of the shortest stories in the Holy Bible, but it’s full of power. It’s also one of the stories that are in all four of the Gospel accounts. (The first three…
Don’t eat CURSED food!!
Originally published 04 May 2024 via Deep Dive Bible Adventures. This might seem like a “no-brainer”, but it needs to be said. Many modern Christians are failing to break curses that might be over their food and drink. What should we do?…
God spanks the big fish
Originally published on 11 May 2024 via Deep Dive Bible Adventures. Today’s post really “whacked me up-side the head” as the Holy Spirit gave me additional insights while I wrote this. The text comes from Samuel chapter 5, the story of what…
